Ozonized Oil and Healing: Current Scientific Evidence

Aceite ozonizado y cicatrización: evidencia científica actual

The use of ozonized oil has generated increasing interest in the medical and dermatological fields due to its potential role in skin recovery and healing processes.

A scientific review published in the Journal of Natural Science, Biology and Medicine evaluated research related to the therapeutic use of ozonized oil in acute and chronic inflammatory processes.

After analyzing 28 scientific studies, the authors observed favorable effects of ozonized oil in the recovery of skin wounds and processes associated with skin inflammation.

According to the publication, these effects could be related to:

  • The reduction of microbial load
  • The modulation of inflammatory processes
  • Support for tissue oxygenation
  • The stimulation of biological processes related to healing

The review also mentions potential benefits in the care of burns, mouth ulcers, and discomfort associated with skin lesions.

Currently, these types of ingredients are part of a new vision of skin care: formulas aimed not only at superficial hydration but also at helping to maintain the skin in better condition against environmental stress and irritation processes.

In this context, ozonized olive oil—present in products from Ozolio—is used in cosmetics for its purifying, antioxidant, and conditioning properties, helping to promote a more balanced and comfortable appearance.
